The Bartley Healthcare Campus Awarded Accreditation From Joint Commission

Jackson, NJ — By demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization's national standards for health care quality and safety, Bartley Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation and The Orchards at Bartley Assisted Living have earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™.

Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission is dedicated to continuously improving the safety and quality of the nation's health care through voluntary accreditation. Bartley Healthcare received Joint Commission accreditation after an on-site review in March, which found Bartley Healthcare, had demonstrated compliance with the Joint Commission's national standards for long term care and assisted living.

"Accreditation standards exceed federal and state requirements," says Marianna Kern Grachek, M.S.N., C.N.H.A., C.A.L.A., executive director, Long Term Care & Assisted Living Accreditation Program, Joint Commission. "Furthermore, because this is a voluntary program, accreditation represents Bartley Healthcare's decision to be recognized for its efforts to provide safe, quality care."

Philip Scalo, CEO of Bartley Healthcare, praised the Bartley Staff for their efforts in meeting the Joint Commission's benchmarks of quality. "Everyone at Bartley works hard to achieve this recognition and level of quality. We view it as another step towards the standard of excellence that we refer to as ‘The Bartley Difference'."

"By achieving accreditation, Bartley Healthcare has joined a select group of Joint Commission accredited long term care organizations," Grachek says. "Only about 2,200 long term care organizations have received accreditation nationwide."

Bartley Healthcare, established in 1985, provides a continuum of care for senior adults of Monmouth and Ocean Counties including outpatient therapy, subacute care, long term care and assisted living.
