Our Story

A 25 Year Commitment to Excellence

In 1984 Bartley Healthcare's founders recognized the need for quality long-term care in Ocean and Monmouth Counties, in New Jersey. They set out to create healthcare services that would set the standard by focusing on the simple concept of treating residents, patients and their families as they would their own family. In the years since, Bartley Healthcare has expanded its campus, services and programming with a constant determination to strive for excellence, which has been recognized on the local, state and national levels.

Growth

Bartley Healthcare opened in 1985 with a 120-bed skilled nursing facility and ten years later had grown to include an additional 62 skilled nursing beds and a 48-bed post-acute care unit, including rehabilitation services. The services have been expanded further to include a 62-bed secured unit for memory impaired residents. In 2001, Bartley Healthcare expanded its continuum of care on the Bartley campus when it completed and opened The Orchards at Bartley, an assisted living residence. The Bartley campus now includes three buildings offering long-term care, post-acute and rehabilitation services, assisted living, outpatient rehabilitation, hospice services and physician services.

Innovation
Part of the expansion that has taken place on the Bartley Healthcare campus has been the creative development of award-winning programs and services. Whether it's the the creation of a dedicated memory care unit, participating in the Geriatric Fellowship Program or the implementation of electronic medical records to improve the continuity of care offered to patients - Bartley Healthcare is dedicated to addressing the needs of each patient, resident and family.
 
Recognition
Pairing a strong foundation of award-winning services with state-of-the-art technology, Bartley has earned accolades for the dedication to continually improving the care received and lifestyle offered to patients and residents. Bartley Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation is one of only twenty-five skilled nursing facilities in New Jersey to achieve accreditation from the Joint Commission. All Bartley facilities have been recognized for setting the standard for senior healthcare as evidenced by having received the prestigious American Healthcare Association's Quality Awards, the My InnerView "Excellence in Action' Award for customer service and a #1 Ranking for care and services from HealthGrades.

The Assisted Living Federation of America has also recognized the exceptional programs instituted at Bartley Healthcare by awarding the "Best of the Best Award" for the Peer Mentor Program for employees, the Town Meeting Program for the residents and Care Management Program for both families and residents. The recognition of programming also includes several "Best Practices Award" from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services for the Dining Experience, Staff Recognition Program and the Creative Dementia Programs and Services.
